Does Minoxidil Really Regrow Hair?

Results of clinical studies using minoxidil for men and women.

Clinical studies show that minoxidil can regrow hair in about 30% of patients, and even stimulate complete regrowth for 10% of male and female users. 77 In specific types of hair loss, clinical studies and trials demonstrated the following rates of increased hair count:

Using mesotherapy and minoxidil may help regrow hair in women with thinning hair. Mesotherapy group reduced % of hair in telogen phase by over 42%, reaching almost the same % as the normal control group percentage. The topical treatment group went down by just under 23%.Vellus hair counts went down as well: 17%↓ in topical minoxidil group, 35%↓ in mesotherapy group. Untreated control group used to compare % of hair in telogen phase; control group had 10.6% of hair in telogen phase, and only 11.2% of hair was of vellus type (compared to over 30% in FPHL groups).
